Proof that John McCain thinks women are stupid!

Trying to pick up whatever votes he can, McCain picked Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin as his running mate. Why would someone with very little experience be the one chosen to take over if the 200 year old McCain should not be able to complete his term? Because he wants the female Hillary voters and apparently thinks that women are so stupid that they would vote purely based on whether or not someone had a woman on their ticket. Never mind that Palin and Clinton have absolutely nothing in common other than they are both women.

Personally, I am offended by McCain's choice and that he apparently thinks so little of women to believe they would vote for ANYONE who is a woman, no matter that she is the exact opposite of the woman they had wanted in office -- Hillary Clinton.

I knew all those porno mags at Mulder's apartment would eventually cause trouble.

Is David Duchovny a sex addict or did Tea catch him with his hand in the cookie jar and it was a convenient excuse?

I am not saying there are not sex addicts, but that seems to be the big excuse for cheating that men use these days. They can't help themselves because they are sex addicts and need help. Yeah, right.

Girlie Movie Time

I would be lying if I said I enjoy most girlie movies or TV. That said there are certain girlie movies that I love and somewhere on that list is "How to marry a millionaire." It is an oldie, but goodie.

It stars Marlyn Monroe, Betty Grable and the completely awesome Loren Becall. Loren Becall is without a doubt my very favorite actress from that era. She always plays the smart, sassy, sophisticated and irresistibly beautiful woman. I have a feeling that is not far from the real Loren Becall.

OK, enough of my gushing about Loren and back to the movie --

It is a comedy in which 3 women (all beautiful models) become tired of the types of men they have been attracting and decide to get to work on attracting and marrying millionaires. The 3 rent an expensive apartment, which they can only afford because they are all chipping in and they begin their search for the millionaires. I don't want to add any spoilers for those who haven't seen it. It is enough to say it is a bit silly at times, but still completely charming and totally girlie.

Make-up whoredom

In preparation for splitting town for a mini vacation I stopped by one of my favorite online stores earlier -- Sephora. I needed more Dior show mascara and was too lazy to drive to the mall to get it. Of course, I ended up buying much more than just mascara.

I am kind of a make-up whore, which is weird if you consider that I rarely wear a lot of make up and often times none at all. Still I love trying new colors of eye shadow and lipstick.

It isn't just make-up I buy at Sephora though, I also like to try all kinds of lotions, scrubs, soaps and so on.

One of my favorite things to buy are the travel/gift packs. I like those because you get to try out a variety of products for the price you might spend for only 1 or 2 full sized product. As a result I have an entire drawer full of travel sized lotions, shampoos and so on.

I also have a fairly large box full of samples. Every time you order from Sephora you get to choose 3 free samples from a list of what is available. I am a member and actually get 4, the last one being what I call a super sample because they are bigger and nicer than most free samples. I think I have enough sample bottles of fragrance to last for the next 100 years. Again, it really makes no sense because I rarely wear fragrance and much of it just is thrown away when I discover that it makes me sneeze.
