The plastic surgery a model needs to look like Barbie. - Fashion Beauty on Shine

One model (who has a great figure, even described by the writer as "Marilyn Monroe like") shows what she's have to do in order to look like the "ideal" Barbie. All these decades later, and Barbie is still a standard, for some: The plastic surgery a model needs to look like Barbie. - Fashion Beauty on Shine

(Speaking of Marilyn Monroe, a few weeks ago Bill Mahr on his show referred to Monroe as a "pie hole." I like Mahr but he has issues, dahlings, with women and weight. . .)

True, many people go under the knife to get that "Barbie" look. People need to remember that plastic surgery can only do so much to improve a person's appearance. It can't make a person perfect.

You make a good point, Dennis. Plastic surgery is not everything in the path to beauty. It's an effective tool, but one has to consider other factors and methods to achieve a satisfying appearance.

A barbie doll is a figure of eternal beauty. Now, no one can be a Barbie forever because it's just an object. We, as humans, are living things that strive to achieve that perfection. We try thru plastic surgery, and the results are great. But always remember: we can never be Barbies because, in my heart of hearts, we are way more beautiful than these dolls.

Yep, the Barbie doll has become the epitome of a beautiful yet lifeless object. Beauty for me is not only measured in physical appearance but over-all qualities of an individual. One does not opt to have big hips or large breasts if their body frame does not ask for it. The barbie doll, being a factory manufactured toy, comes standard. Humans are just not like that.
